Access & approach
We arrive in the village of Lazuri, Bihor County, via the county road 219 and head to the northeast part of the village, reaching the Lazuri Trout Farm (Păstrăvărie in Romanian), where we can park the car. From there, we continue on foot for about 15 minutes along the Lazuri Gorge until we reach the start of the via ferrata route.
The route
The route begins with a bridge over the river, similar to those at Cheile Cuților and Dezna, but shorter and lower above the water. We then continue vertically, followed by a descent to the left, and then ascend again.
The entire route is divided into sectors, with the initial bridge representing the first sector. After the sixth sector, we have two options: a) we can retreat upward to the tourist trail marked with a blue dot, or b) descend to the right on a short path to climb the seventh sector.
Descent
At the end of the via ferrata cable, we follow the tourist trail marked with a blue dot, which descends to the left toward the valley and leads back to the starting point of the tour. The descent takes about 15 minutes to complete.
